What People Are Saying

“Mayors and council members often have to do work in isolation, without the tools, training, or peer support they deserve. The Abundance Fellowship is changing that. It’s helping local leaders act boldly, communicate clearly, and show that government can still get big things done.”
Steve Adler
Steve Adler, Fellowship Advisor & Selection Committee and former Mayor of Austin, Texas
“Local leaders often know what needs to be done, but they face the politics of delay. The Abundance Fellowship gives them the skills, data, and community to push through the resistance. This program will help local elected officials deliver a better future for their residents.”
Miro Weinberger
Miro Weinberger, Fellowship Advisor and Coach, and former Mayor of Burlington, Vermont.
“In island communities like Honolulu, housing costs are often seen as destiny. I believe it’s a design challenge we can meet with data, courage, and community trust. The Abundance Fellowship turns that belief into action, proving local leadership can create abundance even in constrained places.”
Tyler Dos Santos-Tam
Tyler Dos Santos-Tam, Fellow and Honolulu City Council Member
“In smaller cities like mine, we don’t have the luxury of waiting for someone else to fix things—we have to innovate with what we’ve got. The Abundance Fellowship is about doing just that so we can deliver real results our residents can see and feel.”
Derek Slaughter
Derek Slaughter, Fellow and Mayor of Williamsport, Pennsylvania
“In Knoxville, we’ve shown that clearing bottlenecks, adding capacity, and focusing on outcomes delivers results everyone benefits from—more homes, faster approvals, and happier staff. The Abundance Fellowship is about scaling that spirit of bold, pragmatic action: listening carefully, then acting decisively to build communities that work for everyone.”
Indya Kincannon
Indya Kincannon, Fellow and Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee
